Accessibility of the Municipality Website

This accessibility document concerns the digital service of www.pielavesi.fi. The service accessibility has been evaluated internally. The service is concerned to a law of providing digital services, which requires that public online services must be accessible. We have evaluated the accessibility of the service ourselves.
Accessibility state of the digital service
The website partially shows the requirements of the accessibility guidelines (WCAG 2.1. – criteria level A and AA).
In our website, there are some deficiency to accessibility. The deficiencies are listed below.
Deficiency of content
- The website has been embedded with links to other websites that are not necessarily accessible.
- There can be deficiencies in the text counterparts of images (ALT-texts). Images can have inaccurate text counterparts and it can be missing from some of the images. Deficiencies can be found especially in the header-pictures on top of the pages and in the backgrounds of link buttons. We fix the deficiencies when we notice them.
- Some of the pages have used tables to position its content. The tables are not fully accessible.
