School of Northern Pielavesi

In the northern part of Pielavesi, there is a lively and community based village school with three teachers. It was established in 2002.

The school has grades from 0 to 6 and teaching happens in combined classes.

The learning environment of the school is cozy and safe. The surrounding nature gives good opportunities for outdoor exercises, hiking and the wonder of natural phenomena.

Modern and functioning spaces give a great ground for studying and hobbies. The gymnasium, ice hockey rink and ski tracks are also for the villagers to use.

The school is able to meet the students individual needs and the teachers work in partnership with school counsellors, special need teachers, school curators, school psychologists, nurses and guardians of the children. We all work in cooperation for the benefit of the children.
