Summer Sport Locations

Shooting range of Pielavesi is located in the address of: Maaningantie 93.

The shooting range has skeet range, trap range, shotgun range of 1500 rounds/year and elk range of 5000 rounds/year.

There is also an air gun track on the ground floor of Opinportti and its address is: Koulutie 3.

Pielavesi has an official 9-lane frisbee golf track. The track starts at the Suojala sports field (address: Kisapolku 12) and it is maintained by the municipality of Pielavesi.

The frisbee golf disks can be loaned from the Youth Office (address: Laurinpurontie 14) or the Sports Office (address: Koulutie 3).

Pielavesi minigolf is located at the other end of the library building, where the youth centre is. Address is: Laurinpurontie 14.

Pielavesi minigolf offers fun, relaxed competition between family and friends. The minigolf course has 9 exciting holes with different levels of difficulty. Golf clubs are available in different lengths, so even the youngest members of the families can play golf on our course. Playing on the Pielavesi minigolf course costs nothing and the equipment can be easily borrowed from the youth centre or from the library.

You can find the tennis field at the address of: Laurinpurontie 15. The tennis field has 2 separate artificial grass fields, which can be reserved via the electrical booking system Julius. Field 1 is on the side of the Puustelli school and field 2 is on the side of the ice hockey rink. Please brush the field after each use.

The equipment can be borrowed from the library, during the service hours. The library has rackets and tennis balls for adults and also children.

The municipality’s maintained beach (Uimala) is located at the end of Oikopolku, north of the centre of Pielavesi. The pier has 1 meter, 3 meter and 5 meter diving platforms.

Uimala has changing rooms and beach volleyball fields.

The winter season is 1.10. – 31.5., when it is possible to go ice hole swimming. The key deposit is 30 euros and the seasonal payment is 10 euros. The key can be claimed at the Environment and Living Service area office (address: Puustellintie 10).

From the centre of Pielavesi towards Tervo about 34 kilometers, there is also another beach and beach volleyball field option. The place is called Hirviniemi and it can be found at the end of Hirviniementie.

The sports field in Pielavesi (Suojala) offers a wide range of track and field options. There is a grass field in the middle of the sports field, which makes it possible to play football and throw javelins, for example. The jumping and throwing areas are overlaid, but the running track is not.

In the summer time, the track and field options, and the grass field can be reserved via the booking system Julius.
